Yes it has been a difficult season but I can't understand the hate for Moyes by some, I wanted him gone too but we are forgetting that we did not go down, even Pearce is getting it in the neck from a few and I don't see the point.
Why are some people so bitter for fuck sake?, it was a six month contract with a team that was poor with players who were injured and with Chairmen who do not want to spend any money and do not care for the fans. With Allardyce although I do not agree with the vitriol I understand it but with Moyes or Pearce I think it is pathetic and sad and makes us look that way too as fans. When did we become so vindictive?, yes he played rubbish football against the lower teams but so does Mourhino I never got it either but his team let him down too they were shit, why can't we see that too???.

It's odd they didn't meet him.
You'd think that someone who meddles in the buying of players would find out the opinions of every coach on what the team needs.
Unless they were completely idiotic...

The owners should be meeting most of the staff, especially the high end people. It’s called engagement and can go a long way. You build a relationship and work better for it.

It doesn't matter how much money he makes.
He is a tiny wee man. A little weeble. A runt.
That must hurt and go deep.

Crassus, I agree regarding the fact they have players on £100k per week but given the input you would expect from your assistant manager, which in a pretty flat corporate structure like West Ham, his contribution to spending your money in a transfer window you would have thought they would have met.
The fact that Pearce, a seasoned football professional both on the pitch and in management thought it was obscene that he never met them tells you all you need to know. If this was common place not would be a non story and nobody would pick it up, its not so they have.

I must be missing something here because I cannot see any reason why the owners should have met up with one of David Moyes's minions all of whom were simply on short term contracts and were, we now know, definitely leaving at the end of the season.

Jim
They pay that and more per week to blokes that I bet they would not want to be in the same post code with by choice
they have people to deal with that type

He was assistant manager of their key prized asset, of course he should have met them. They had a transfer window whereby you would have thought Pearce would have had some input in to how their millions of pounds was spent...........oh hang on a minute I forgot them made the fat end of £20m profit in January so in truth Peace had no involvement.
West Ham is not a particularly big organisation, maybe 200 staff in total including players, coaches, admin, managers, etc. For someone in a senior position like Pearce you would expect him to have access to the Chairman/CEO. I know if I was paying someone over £100k per annum, which is a given for Psycho I'd want to meet them and see what they had to say and offer.

The only thing worse than Pearce as a coach is Pearce as a broadcaster.
As bad as it is that they didn't talk to him is that that they employed him in the first place

The most baffling bit about this thread for me is how that cunt jock McCoist is able to get a job however temporary on national radio. I've wondered too how Brazil manages to keep his job with his horrendous record of incompetence and alcoholism.

No chance, the 3 of them go back a long way. It would be like them sacking their daughter.
